His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday stressed that resuming the Middle East peace process should be a strategic goal that "all of us work to achieve."

In a telephone conversation with acting Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, the King said the Palestinian people seek peace and that the results of Palestinian legislative elections should not deter us from pursuing peace.

On Thursday, His Majesty the King and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed in a phone call the results of the Palestinian elections which witnessed the participation of different Palestinian political forces.
