His Majesty King Abdullah unveiled a plaque at the Sharif Hussein Bin Ali Mosque, which was built four decades ago and recently underwent expansion and rehabilitation work. Greeted on site by a cheering crowd of Aqaba residents, King Abdullah listened to a briefing on the project presented by Mohammad Khleifat, director of the engineering department at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. His Majesty also joined worshippers in Friday prayers at the mosque, where Aqaba Awqaf Director Sheikh Suleiman Bulbul delivered a sermon in which he stressed the importance of building and rehabilitating mosques.
