His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday paid a surprise visit to Al Faisaliah village in Shobak District, Maan Governorate, where he was acquainted with residents’ needs and living conditions.

King Abdullah instructed concerned officials to cover the village’s needs, particularly improving its education and health services, and to address the transportation problem in the area.

After visiting a number of area residents, the King issued directives to rehabilitate several houses in the village.

His Majesty visited the home of Fawaz Hadban, who works as a muezzin and supports a family of 15, and issued instructions to rehabilitate his house.

While checking on the residence of Tibleh Obeid Hadban, a widow who lives alone with her daughter, the King was briefed on their difficult living conditions. The family only receives JD90 monthly from the National Aid Fund. The King instructed concerned officials to renovate their house and improve their living conditions.

His Majesty also visited the home of Fheideh Salem Hadban, a widow who supports a family of five. His Majesty issued directives to conduct needed maintenance work on the house to improve the family’s living conditions.

The 700 people living in Al Faisaliah village, around 15km away from Shobak, suffer from a shortage of services, particularly public transportation.

On the first day of Ramadan, the King paid a surprise visit to Taibeh village in Karak Governorate, which was suffering from frequent cuts in water supply over the past several months, and directed concerned authorities to take immediate measures to resolve the issue.
