His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday paid an unannounced visit to a cluster of villages in Deir Al Kahf in the Northern Badia to learn about local needs, concerns and priorities.
During Wednesday's visit, the King checked on three families in the village of Qassim and requested assistance for them.
Touring the village, whose residents mainly work in the agricultural sector, King Abdullah chatted with the villagers who gathered to meet him.
More than 8,000 persons live in the Deir Al Kahf villages in the Governorate of Mafraq.
The King directed concerned Royal Court personnel to assess the villages' development, living and infrastructure requirements, and meet them as soon as possible.
His Majesty instructed officials to provide proper housing for several underprivileged families and to renovate and expand the houses of other families. He also instructed them to implement several projects to provide the villages with essential services.
King Abdullah also gave orders to treat residents at King Hussein Medical Centre at his expense.
Since the beginning of this year, King Abdullah has paid several unannounced visits to remote villages, including Thughra village in Maan Governorate's Mreigha District and the Hashemiyyeh village, also in Maan, where he checked on residents' living conditions and ordered measures to meet their needs.
