His Majesty King Abdullah participated in the Sun Valley economic forum held in the American state of Idaho.
On the sidelines of the forum, King Abdullah held meetings with heads and representatives of a number of major international and US companies, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
The meetings, held this week, covered investment opportunities in Jordan highlighted in the recently launched Economic Modernisation Vision, in addition to the potential for cooperation between international companies and the local private sector to fulfil this vision over the next decade, in partnership with the government.
The meetings were held with executives of global companies that work in e-commerce, the textile industry, transport and the automotive industry, AI, and filmmaking, which are part of the promising sectors highlighted in the economic vision under growth drivers.
Discussions also covered the global ramifications of the Ukraine crisis on food and energy security, and the importance of working collectively to counter their impact on the global economy.
The annual forum is held with the participation of international and US political, economic, and media leaders to discuss global political and economic developments and their implications.
