King orders implementation of Royal initiatives

His Majesty King Abdullah called for continuing the implementation of a number of initiatives that focus on assisting needy families and providing support to centres and charitable societies that provide attention and care to the elderly and people with special needs.

King Abdullah’s directives to the Royal Hashemite Court included providing financial assistance to 30,000 needy families across the Kingdom in addition to in-kind aid to these families to help them face their difficult living conditions.

The King also ordered the Royal Hashemite Court to continue financial support to 1,500 orphans in Gaza Strip. In 2012, the King responded to a call by Al Wiam Charitable Society (WCS) in Gaza to support orphans.

His Majesty’s decision was based on a report submitted by Jordan’s field hospital in the coastal enclave, which emphasised the plight of orphans there.
