King opens pharmaceuticals factory in Lisbon

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday opened a factory of the Jordanian Al Hikma Pharmaceuticals Company in Lisbon.

The King unveiled a memorial plaque at the plant, which applies state-of-the-art technology for its quality products that circulate in the U.S. and Arab markets.

During the ceremony, the king was briefed by company Vice President Mazen Darwazah on the stages of production. The plant started operations last year, and it is Al Hikma's second operation in the Portuguese capital.

Al Hikama pharmaceuticals was established in 1979 in Amman and has expanded its operations to the US, Portugal, Italy, Ukraine, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia. Its products are exported to fifty markets around the world.
