King meets with US VP over Syria, Mideast peace

His Majesty King Abdullah and US Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday discussed the latest regional developments, especially the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.

During a meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, in Washington DC, discussions also focused on efforts to achieve peace between the Palestinians and Israelis, on the basis of the two-state solution.

During the coming two days, King Abdullah will visit New York City to chair the Jordanian delegation to the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The King will deliver an address before the UN General Assembly and meet with Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and several heads of state and senior political figures participating in the session.
