His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday met with US Secretary of Defence Robert M. Gates and discussed means to enhance bilateral ties and exchange of expertise in the defence field.

King Abdullah and Gates also discussed developments in the Middle East and efforts to find a just settlement to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, in accordance with the two-state solution.

The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Bin Al Hussein and Jordan's ambassador to Washington Prince Zeid bin Raad.
