His Majesty King Abdullah received on Wednesday General John Allen, the Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition against ISIL, who is visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour.

During the meeting, which centred on terrorism-combating efforts, King Abdullah asserted Jordan’s position in support of the regional and international coalition in confronting terrorist groups that threaten regional and global security and stability.

The King called for orchestrating the various international efforts addressing threats to world peace and security.

For his part, Allen underscored the importance of Jordan’s role in dealing with difficult regional challenges, highlighting the Kingdom’s contributions to safeguarding peace and security in the Middle East region and worldwide.
