His Majesty King Abdullah met on Sunday with UNRWA Commissioner General Filippo Grandi and discussed the agency's efforts to boost the level of its services for Palestinian refugees.

King Abdullah stressed that the international community should continue supporting the UN agency to reinforce its capacity so that it is enabled to carry out its humanitarian mission successfully.

The King also outlined the services Jordan extends to Palestinian refugees in Jordan. He said Jordan's support for Palestinian rights is unwavering and is in accordance with international resolutions, especially those dealing with Palestinians' rights to return and compensation.

Grandi briefed the King on the challenges facing UNRWA in its endeavours to provide relief services for Palestinian refugees.
