His Majesty King Abdullah met Monday with UK Prime Minister David Cameron on the sideline of the COP21 in Paris.

During the meeting, King Abdullah expressed eagerness to see the UK join coalition operations against Daesh in Syria, as part of a wider strategy, including a political process, and working with opposition forces on the ground in Syria already fighting Daesh.

The King also discussed with Cameron military cooperation between the two countries, in addition to EU’s support for Jordan, especially within the framework of an international conference on Syrian refugees, which is scheduled to take place in the UK in early 2016.

The two leaders also discussed recent developments in Syria.
