His Majesty King Abdullah held talks on Monday with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa Ben Zayed Al Nahayan that focused on means to bolster bilateral ties and cooperation.
During a meeting in Abu Dhabi, King Abdullah, who returned home after a several-hour visit to the UAE, and Sheikh Khalifa stressed the importance of increasing and institutionalising cooperation between the two countries in all sectors.
Talks also focused on issues of mutual concern and ways to boost Arab solidarity and joint efforts to face the challenges that face the Arab world.
Regarding efforts to bring about peace in the region, the King and the UAE president stressed the importance of launching serious peace negotiations to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict leading to an independent Palestinian state and a just and comprehensive peace according to the Arab Peace Initiative and international resolutions.
During the meeting, which was attended by several sheikhs and officials, King Abdullah invited Sheikh Khalifa to visit the Kingdom.
