His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met with CEO of Baxter Healthcare Corporation and Motorola CEO Gregory Brown.
During the meeting, the two sides examined aspects of economic cooperation and means to boost investment between the Jordanian and the American private sectors.
King Abdullah highlighted Jordan's investment environment and the infrastructure services provided to facilitate investors' business.
Also, during his visit to Washington, King Abdullah met with Petra Solar CEO and President Shihab Kuran, with whom he discussed the possibility of Jordan benefiting from the company's solar energy production techniques.
King Abdullah noted that the Kingdom's energy strategy seeks to increase the use of renewable energy. Moreover, the King met with the founder of the Carlyle Group, Bill Conway, and briefed him on investment opportunities in the Kingdom which the group can benefit from. In 2007, the Carlyle Group established an investment fund for the Middle East and North Africa region, capitalised at $500 million.
