King Meets Tanigawa

His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed Thursday that Jordan exerts every possible effort and makes intensive contacts with the Iraqi sides to help releasing the Japanese hostage in Iraq Shosei Koda as soon as possible.



King Abdullah expressed, during a meeting with Japanese Senior Vice Foreign Minister Shuzen Tanigawa, condemnation of all violence activities such as kidnapping and killing, affirming that these actions violates the teachings of Islam.



His Majesty expressed appreciation for the support of the Japanese government to help Jordan implement its developmental and economic programs, affirming that his coming visit to Japan comes within the frame of developing the friendly and cooperation relations between the two countries.



On his part, Tanigawa expressed his country's appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Jordanian government, under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to secure the release of the Japanese hostage in Iraq.



The meeting was attended by the King's Advisor for Security Affairs and Director of the Public Intelligence Department, General Saad Kheir, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hani Mulqi, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Bassem Awadallah and the Japanese Ambassador in Amman.
