His Majesty King Abdullah said on Thursday an opportunity is at hand to develop a long-term strategic economic relationship with South Korea.
At a meeting with visiting South Korean Prime Minister Han Seung-soo, King Abdullah voiced satisfaction over the standard of bilateral ties, especially in the economic field, stressing that Jordan-Korea cooperation is reflecting positively on both countries.
Discussions between King Abdullah and the South Korean premier covered other matters, including collaboration in the development of renewable energy.
King Abdullah and the visiting official also discussed efforts to bring about peace and stability in the region and end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with the two-state solution.
Prime Minster Nader Dahabi, Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi, Chairman the Joint Chiefs of Staff Khaled Jamil Sarayrah, the King's Advisor Ayman Safadi, Head of Jordan Nuclear Energy Commission Khaled Touqan, and officials from the Korean side attended the meeting.
King Abdullah visited South Korea last year, and the two countries signed a cooperation agreement in the peaceful use of nuclear energy as well as a memorandum of understanding on economic cooperation during the visit.
