His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal and discussed the strong ties between the two brotherly countries as well as a number of Arab and regional issues of common concern.
King Abdullah commended the distinguished Jordanian-Saudi relations as a model of joint Arab action, stressing keenness on promoting them to serve the mutual interests of both countries.
His Majesty also outlined efforts to realise a just and comprehensive peace in the region to fulfill Palestinian aspirations to an independent state based on the two-state solution. The King also stressed that the Palestinian cause is the core issue in the region.
Prince Saud conveyed the regards of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia to His Majesty, stressing keenness on enhancing bilateral relations in various domains.
The meeting also dealt with the situation in Syria and its dangerous consequences on the neighboring countries, which host hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees.
The meeting was attended by Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Director of His Majesty’s Office Imad Fakhoury, and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh.
