King meets ruler of Fujairah

His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met with Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, UAE supreme council member and ruler of Fujairah, and held talks that focused on means to enhance bilateral ties.

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamad conveyed to King Abdullah the greetings of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces.

His Majesty stressed the deeply rooted historic relations between Jordan and the UAE, expressing keenness on enhancing them in all fields to serve the interests of the people of the two countries.

For his part, Sheikh Hamad also expressed his country’s keenness on bolstering its ties with the Kingdom in all spheres, including the exchange of expertise between Jordanian state agencies and those of Fujairah.

Sheikh Hamad, who concluded his visit later on Monday, also expressed appreciation for the King’s role in serving Arab and Islamic causes and achieving peace and security in the region.

His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, His Majesty’s Adviser for Tribal Affairs Sharif Fawaz Zaben, His Majesty’s Office Director Imad Fakhoury and Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji attended the meeting.

Fujairah Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, UAE Ambassador to Jordan Abdullah Al Ameri and members of the accompanying delegation also attended the meeting.
