His Majesty King Abdullah II met US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to discuss practical steps to revive the Middle East peace process and achieve a just, comprehensive and sustainable solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

King Abdallah asserted the need to put the peace process back on track and said it was crucial that the international community continue to enable Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as an effective and important partner in the peace process by supporting him.

Rice said that the U.S. is committed to achieving peace and stability in the Middle East and to moving the peace process forward.

Later, King Abdullah met with the Croatian president and discussed with him bilateral relations and issues of common interest.
