King meets Quartet representative

His Majesty King Abdullah and Tony Blair, representative of the International Quartet for Middle East peace, on Monday reviewed challenges and efforts exerted to achieve regional peace and stability.

During a meeting at Al Husseiniya palace, King Abdullah and the Quartet representative stressed the importance of arriving at a comprehensive and just solution for the Palestinian issue, which, His Majesty said, is the core and essence of the conflict in the Middle East, on the basis of the two-state solution.

At the meeting, attended by Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and Director of His Majesty’s Office Jafar Hassan, the King and Blair also discussed the latest developments related to regional and international issues.
