His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received Prince Turki Al Faisal Ben Abdul Aziz, chairman of the King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS), who is taking part at the Arab Reform Initiative (ARI) conference in Amman.
During the meeting, the King expressed appreciation for the KFCRIS' role in supporting efforts designed to achieve reform, enhance the culture of tolerance and present the role of Islamic culture and its contribution to society.
The ARI is a network of independent Arab research and policy institutes, with partners from the United States and Europe. Its goal is to mobilize the Arab research capacity to advance knowledge and develop a home-grown programme for democratic reform in the Arab world.
Director of the King's Office, Bassem Awadallah, and Saudi ambassador to Jordan, Abdul Rahman Ouhali, attended the meeting.
