King meets preachers, imams

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday stressed the importance of improving the skills of imams and preachers so that they can better clarify Islam’s message of peace and tolerance and spread the values of justice in the society.

During a meeting with several imams and preachers held at the King Abdullah Institute for the Training and Rehabilitation of Preachers and Imams, King Abdullah directed the government to extend the necessary support to the institute to help it carry out its mission.

The King, along with Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit, Royal Court Chief Khaled Karaki and the King's Media Advisor Amjad Adaileh, toured the institute, where he was briefed about its goals and message by Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Abdel Rahim Akour.
