King meets patriarch of Georgia

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II, who is currently on a visit to the Kingdom.

The King expressed keenness on forging closer cooperation with Georgia in various fields for the common interest of both peoples. The King and the patriarch emphasised the need to promote the values of tolerance, dialogue and understanding among followers of all religions.

Patriarch IIia II conveyed to His Majesty the greetings of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, as well as his eagerness to further boost relations with Jordan in various domains.

The meeting was attended by Royal Court Chief Riyad Abu Karaki and Director of His Majesty the King's Office Imad Fakhoury.
