His Majesty King Abdullah said the Palestinian issue is the key issue for the Arab nation.

During a meeting with Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the 21st Arab Summit in Doha, the King stressed the need for finding a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution.

The King said the two-state solution is the only viable solution to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and achieve regional peace and security in accordance with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Jordan, the King said, has always endeavoured to achieve peace and has employed its relations with the international community and the US to achieve the re-launch of serious negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis.

King Abdullah affirmed the importance of supporting efforts to achieve national reconciliation and protect Palestinian interests.
