His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed that Jordan will continue its plans to develop the economy and education and introduce modern technology to all sectors.
During a meeting with members of the British Royal Academy on Monday that was attended by chief of the Royal Court and the British ambassador in Amman, the King said that the regional conditions will not prevent us from implementing our plans to develop the economy and improve standards of living for citizens.
King Abdullah emphasized that achieving peace in the Middle East and putting an end to the cycle of violence require the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions relating to the Palestinian issue and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
"Practical solutions cannot be achieved without guaranteeing the rights of all parties to live in peace," he said, noting the importance of returning to the negotiating table and implementing already existing agreements.
On the Iraqi file, His Majesty voiced hope that the Iraqi crisis will be solved through dialogue with the UN.
Members of the delegation for their part praised the development that Jordan has achieved as well as efforts being exerted by His Majesty to support peace and bring about stability to the region.
