His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday stressed keenness to enhance cooperation between Jordan and Kuwait to serve the interests of both countries.

During a meeting with a Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation, His Majesty outlined the political developments and changes in the Arab arena, adding that the challenges facing the Arab nation at this critical and sensitive phase require activating and expanding joint Arab work.

The King highlighted investment opportunities available in Jordan, calling for increasing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, especially since Kuwait is the top Arab investor in the Kingdom.

King Abdullah underlined Jordan’s commitment to providing Kuwaiti investors with the required facilities and encouraged them to take part in mega-projects in energy, transport and water.

The Kingdom treats Kuwaiti nationals in the country with utmost care and attention, especially those studying at Jordanian universities, he added.

The delegation conveyed the greetings of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, commending the level of bilateral relations, which, they said, sets a model of “advanced pan-Arab ties.”

Delegates commended the educational environment and facilities in Jordan, noting that Kuwaiti investments in the Kingdom amount to $10 billion in several vital fields.

They said Jordan’s “investor-friendly environment” and its qualified human resources are the reasons behind the growth in investments. The lawmakers said many Kuwaiti tourists have chosen Jordan as their main destination this summer for recreational and medical purposes due to its stability and security.
