His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met with President of the Palestinian National Council Salim Zanoun and discussed efforts to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with the two-state solution.

King Abdullah reiterated Jordan's support for ending the conflict in accordance with international resolutions and references, particularly the Arab Peace Initiative, that guarantee the establishment of an viable, independent Palestinian state on Palestinian national soil.

Discussions also covered efforts to reconcile Palestinian factions to achieve unity and help Palestinians establish their state.

Zanoun commended King Abdullah's support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
