His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday held talks with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on bilateral ties, the latest developments in the Middle East and international issues of mutual concern.
The two leaders stressed the importance of boosting cooperation, especially economic cooperation that enables investors from both countries to benefit from the opportunities available in various sectors including energy, agriculture and pharmaceuticals, food, tourism and construction industries.
King Abdullah congratulated the Kazakh president on the 12th anniversary of establishing the capital city, Astana, and the achievements of the Kazakh people and leadership.
The King, along with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Interim Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbaeva and United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Saif Ben Zayed Al Nahayan, attended a dinner banquet hosted by the Kazakh president on the anniversary celebrations.
