King Meets Jordanian Deputies Currently on a Visit to the US

His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Wednesday in Washington a Jordanian parliamentary delegation and leaders of Jordanian civil society, currently on a visit to the US upon an invitation by the US Council for Youth Politicians.



The King said that he encourages people to seize every opportunity to develop themselves and their work. The King stressed that the presence of the four deputies in the US is an opportunity to illustrate the Jordanian people's views to the leaderships and representatives of the US people regarding what is currently happening in the region.



"The delegation's visit to the US forms an opportunity to explain the Jordanian and Arab position and to affect the views of the representatives of the US Congress and institutions towards the issues that concern Jordan," the King said.



The King added that the visit comes to support efforts aiming at a achieving further assistance for the reform and developmental projects in Jordan.



Member of the visiting delegation, Muhammad Arislan, said that the delegation will visit various US institutions and the US Congress.



"The visit comes within the mutual visits between the Jordanian and US parliamentarians and representatives of the civil society,'' Arislan said.
