King meets Jordanian Community in San Francisco

His Majesty King Abdullah II has said reform plans being undertaken by Jordan in political, economic and social domains are designed to improve economic performance, promote democracy, empower the role of woman and youth sector, develop education and improve standards of living of all Jordanians.



King Abdullah made his remarks during a meeting on Saturday with Jordanian community members in San Francisco in the state of California.



"Building a model Jordan in the region is one of a our priorities," the King said noting that efforts at present are focusing on enhancing partnership between the private and the public sector. A partnership that is bound to improve national economy and offer more job opportunities," the King added.



He called upon members of the community to keep in touch with their homeland and to help back efforts aimed to establish a modern and an open Jordanian society.



King Abdullah, who urged members of the community to invest in Jordan, noted the efforts taken to improve the investment ambiance through updating relevant legislations and offering more facilities.



Members of the community expressed their pride in the King's wise leadership that has enabled Jordan to hold an effective and respectable position on the international scene.
