King meets JICA President

His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) President Sadako Ogata.

During the meeting, King Abdullah affirmed the strong cooperation between Jordan and JICA and the solid relations between Jordan and Japan.

He said that he highly valued JICA's continued support to Jordan's economic and development programmes, and highlighted the growing interest among Asian business partners in carrying out strategic projects in the Kingdom.

Ogata voiced the agency's desire to expand cooperation with Jordan in different sectors.

JICA, is currently implementing a variety of programmes in Jordan in the fields of women's empowerment and community development in cooperation with the private sector and non- government organizations.
