His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday discussed the latest developments in the Middle East with Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini.

During a meeting, King Abdullah and Frattini discussed efforts aimed at pushing the peace process forward to resolve the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution, which, they agreed, is the main prerequisite for security, stability and comprehensive peace in the region.

The King and the Italian official also discussed bilateral ties and prospects for further cooperation.

Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi attended the meeting along with Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and the delegation accompanying Frattini.
