His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday met with French Minister of Justice Michele Alliot-Marie to discuss means of boosting cooperation between Jordan and France in the judicial and legislative fields.

At the meeting, King Abdullah highlighted the strong ties between the two countries and the potential to improve them.

Jordan and France signed a protocol last year on the exchange of legislative, legal and judicial publications and research and information on judicial systems. The protocol also entails the organization of legal and judicial conferences, seminars and training programmes, as well as visits by delegations to follow up on legislative developments.
