King meets families of Jordan Armed Forces, security agencies martyrs

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Sunday met with the families of the seven martyrs of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and other security agencies, who were killed during the terror attack in the Rakban area on the northeastern border with Syria last Tuesday.
 
King Abdullah expressed his pride in the “heroic acts and sacrifices of JAF and security personnel who defend the country with valour that cannot be undermined by the forces of darkness and evil.”
 
The King expressed his condolences and deep sympathies to the families that lost loved ones, stressing that Jordan’s source of strength comes from the bravery of its soldiers.
 
“They are the first defence line protecting the country and its people,” His Majesty said. 
 
The King met with the families of Corporal Noureddine Shihadeh, Corporal Ahmad Sbeihi, Lance Corporal Rashad Talafha, Lance Corporal Bilal Zu’bi and Private Khader Hajji from JAF, in addition to Public Security Department’s Officer Odai Khawaldeh and Civil Defence Department’s Sergeant Anas Asmar.
 
For their part, the families expressed their appreciation of His Majesty’s continuous support for the soldiers and security personnel.
 
Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff and King’s Military Adviser Gen. Mashal Al Zaben also attended the meeting.
