His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met with EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana and discussed efforts to achieve regional peace, means to enhance ties between Jordan and the EU and issues of mutual concern.

Efforts to launch serious and effective negotiations to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict figured high on the Jordanian-European summit held between King Abdullah and the European Union Troika on Wednesday.
