His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday held talks with Egypt's Shura Council Speaker Ahmed Fahmi on regional issues and means to enhance Jordanian-Egyptian relations.
King Abdullah and Fahmi discussed the latest regional developments, especially the situation in Syria.
During the meeting, His Majesty underlined the need to support the Palestinian people in their quest to regain their legitimate rights and establish an independent state of their own.
Commending the King's efforts to enhance democracy in Jordan, Fahmi said Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi is keen on maintaining coordination and consultation on all issues and challenges facing the Arab world.
Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Director of His Majesty’s Office Imad Fakhoury and Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Tharwat attended the meeting.
