King Meets Directors of "France Internationale" and Monte Carlo Radios

His Majesty King Abdullah II met at Beit Al Baraka on Wednesday, Radio "France Internationale" Director General Jean-Claude Clauzel, and Monte Carlo Radio Director Bishara, Al Boun, on the occasion of launching the second transmitter of Radio Monte Carlo in the Ajloun Governorate, to improve its transmission in the northern parts of the Kingdom.



His Majesty praised, during the meeting which was attended by the French ambassador to Jordan, the role played by the Monte Carlo Radio through being professional in media and news coverage.



He also expressed appreciation for France for its cooperation with Jordan in the cultural and media fields.



King Abdullah noted Jordan's keenness to build the media of modern state that is based on encouraging pluralism, freedom of opinion, respecting various points of views and developing media performance on the bases of professionalism, distinction and creativity.



The director of Radio "France Internationale" for his part, said that openness in Jordan and the freedom of expression and opinion, were the main motives behind opening a new station in Jordan.



Clauzel reviewed the policy of France Internationale and Monte
Carlo radios that seeks to ensure that transmission reaches all listeners.


On the occasion of launching its second transmitter, Monte Carlo
shed light on Jordan this week, by talking about Jordan's accomplishments
in the various political, economic, cultural and social fields through
a series of programs and talks with various Jordanian officials and
figures.


Radio Monte Carlo has been transmitting from Jordan since 1989.
It established the first transmitter in Amman to strengthen its transmission
in Amman and its neighborhoods. In the future, it intends to launch
another transmitter to ensure a better transmission to the southern
parts of the Kingdom.
