His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Sunday with Commander of the U.S. Central Command Gen. John Abizaid.

During the meeting, which was attended by His Majesty's advisor for security affairs/ Director of the General Intelligence Department/ Rapporteur of the State Security Council Gen. Saad Kheir and the US Ambassador to Jordan Edward Gnehm, the two sides discussed the Jordanian- US ties in the military fields as well as the current developments in the Middle East, particularly the situation in Iraq.
