King meets Chairman of the National Centre for Human Rights

His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday received the chairman of the National Centre for Human Rights, Adnan Badran.

During the meeting, Badran presented the centre's sixth annual report on the status of human rights to King Abdullah.

The King highlighted the importance of a neutral and independent assessment of human rights issues to address any imbalances.

He also said that respecting and protecting human rights in Jordan is a priority that should be translated into deeds through legislative amendments that guarantee people's rights and the rule of law as well as equality.

During the meeting, Badran outlined the main topics addressed in the report, as well as relevant recommendations.
