King Meets Bundestang President

His Majesty King Abdullah held talks on Tuesday at Ragadan Palace with President of the German Parliament, Wolfgang Thierse and his delegation, during which he commended the close relations between the two friendly countries, and Jordan's keenness to bolster them in various fields. Dailogue between parliamentarians is essential to understanding and relations between peoples, the King noted.



Talks with the German delegation focused on the current regional
issues particularly the future of Iraq and Middle East peace process,
where King Abdullah affirmed the importance of giving the Iraqis the
power to run their affairs by themselves.


His Majesty said that it's necessary to focus on the quality
and essence of progress needed in Iraq before focusing on accelerating
measures to achieve this progress. Germany, France, and the UN have
the power to draw the international attention to build Iraq and restore
security and stability to this country.
