King Meets British Minister of State for Middle East

His Majesty King Abdullah II reviewed on Wednesday with the British Minister of State for Middle East, Baroness Symons, steps and initiatives that aim at pushing the peace process forward, putting an end to violence in the Palestinian lands as well as issues of common interest.



His Majesty affirmed, during the meeting which was attended by minister of the Hashemite Royal Court and the minister of planning and international cooperation and acting foreign minister, that Jordan, seeks in cooperation with Arab countries, to present again the Arab peace initiative which was approved in Beirut, within a new Arab move to push the peace process forward.



Talks during the meeting also touched on the US initiative on reform in the Middle east.



The King said that this initiative should come from inside, supported by all peoples and should conform with the peoples conditions and aspirations. He also added that any reform should be based on finding a just solution for the Palestinian cause.
