His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met with a delegation of Brazilian businessmen currently visiting the Kingdom, highlighting investment potential in key economic sectors, mainly tourism, construction, information technology, defence industries, agriculture, energy and mining.
During the meeting King Abdullah urged Brazilian investors to benefit from opportunities available in Jordan to increase economic, commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal and other senior officials.
The visiting delegation seeks to learn more about investment prospects which King Abdullah underlined during his visit to Brazil last year.
The King cited megaprojects that being worked on in the areas of transport, water and renewable energy and discussed programmes to attract foreign investments to the country.
He underlined the importance of the Arab community in Brazil in increasing economic cooperation and leveraging cultural exchange between the Middle East countries and Latin America.
Currently, around 12 million Arabs live in Brazil.
During the King's visit to Brazil last year, the two countries signed 11 agreements and memoranda of understanding to boost economic, cultural, commercial and political cooperation between them.
