King meets Belgium King

His Majesty King Abdullah and King Albert II of Belgium said efforts should be intensified to realise peace in the region, which they said is of global interest and a basic pillar for international security and stability.

At a meeting Thursday, they discussed developments in the Middle East and work to bring about a comprehensive and lasting peace based on the two-state solution and within a regional context and in accordance with the relevant terms of reference, especially the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative.

Discussions also covered means to foster bilateral ties, especially in the fields of economy, tourism and investment.

Also at the meeting, King Abdullah discussed with Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy ways to activate bilateral cooperation in different fields.
