His Majesty King Abdullah will travel to Washington on 21 April for talks with President Barack Obama on Jordan-US ties and the Middle East peace process.
The King, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania, will also meet with several members of the US administration, as well as representatives of Arab American, Muslim and Jewish organisations to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and efforts to resolve it.
During his several-day visit to the US capital, King Abdullah is also scheduled to deliver a speech on the peace process at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, according to the statement.
On Saturday, King Abdullah received several Arab foreign ministers and the Arab League Secretary General Amr Musa.
On his trip to Washington, His Majesty is expected to convey to Obama the unified resolutions of the Arab leaders from last month's summit in Doha.
