His Majesty King Abdullah will meet Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi on Sunday to look into bilateral ties, developments in the Middle East and issues of mutual concern.
On Friday, King Abdullah met with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and voiced appreciation for Putin's efforts and keenness to enhance ties with Jordan, especially in the economic and commercial fields and peaceful use of nuclear power.
At the meeting, King Abdullah and Putin reviewed developments in the Middle East and efforts to bring about peace and stability.
The King referred to Russia's efforts to entrench stability in the region and find a just solution to the Palestinian issue that ends the Israeli occupation and leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the entire Palestinian territories in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
On latest developments in the conflict between Georgia and Russia, the King expressed hope that the two countries will settle the differences through dialogue and peaceful means to preserve their interests.
On the sidelines of the visit, King Abdullah visited the 3rd International Exhibition of Weapons and Military Equipment that started in Moscow last Wednesday with the participation of more than 400 companies from 23 states.
The King, accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff General Khaled Sarayreh, toured some of the exhibition's pavilions.
