His Majesty King Abdullah is expected to meet British Prime Minister Gordon Brown tomorrow to discuss the latest regional developments, particularly obstacles hindering the peace process in the Middle East and the European and British roles in supporting peace efforts to reach the two-state formula.
Talks will also cover prospects for further cooperation between Jordan and the UK.
On Monday, King Abdullah discussed with the British Conservative Party leader, David Cameron, efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict within a regional context that brings about a comprehensive peace.
In a speech at the Royal College for Defence Studies, King Abdullah called for united international efforts, particularly those exerted by the US and the European Union, to overcome obstacles to the resumption of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
King Abdullah stressed that peace between the Palestinians and Israelis is an international need and a prerequisite for peace and security in the Middle East.
