King leaves for France

His Majesty King Abdullah left home to take part in the UN Climate Change Summit, which opens near Paris tomorrow, and is hosted by French President Francois Hollande.

King Abdullah will address the summit and will meet with world leaders also attending the meeting.

Jordan was one of the leading countries to ratify the UN framework agreement on climate change in 1993, and the Kingdom has a national policy on climate change, prepared in cooperation with the UNDP.

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as regent during His Majesty’s trip abroad.
