King Launches "Winter Coat" Campaign for School Students

Within the attention given by His Majesty King Abdullah II to school students and his continuous keeness to inspect their conditions, His Majesty launched today "the Winter Coat campaign" that includes the distribution of 182,000 coats to public and military culture schools in various parts of the Kingdom at His Majesty's own expense.

The campaign started at the Ghirnatah school in the Madaba governorate where the King distributed coats to its students to protect them against winter.

King Abdullah's endowment, which comes as a personal donation from His Majesty to school students, will include, over ten days about 2000 schools for boys and girls from the 1st grade to the 6the grade in remote areas.

His Majesty, who was accompanied by his personal advisor Yousef Dalabeeh, Minister of the Hashemite Royal Court Sameer Rifai and Minister of Education Dr. Khaled Touqan, listened to the needs and demands of some students.

Minister of education for his part thanked His Majesty for his endowment, noting that it reflects the care and attention given by the King to students.
