His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday called for lifting international sanctions on the Palestinians, at talks with visiting Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
During a meeting with Sheikh Nawaf, who arrived here on a two-day official visit, the King stressed the need to facilitate the flow of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
His Majesty and the crown prince also discussed the developments in the Palestinian territories and their impact on the efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace settlement to the Middle East core conflict.
Both sides reiterated that the Arab Peace Initiative provide a suitable launchpad for reviving the peace process, leading to a just solution to the Palestinian problem.
The talks also covered the situations in Lebanon and Iraq.
On bilateral relations, King Abdullah and Sheikh Nawaf said they were keen to enhance joint cooperation, particularly in economic fields.
The King said Jordan appreciates Kuwait's continued assistance to the country's development projects.
