His Majesty King Abdullah and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein on Sunday joined worshippers in performing Eid Al Adha prayers at Al Sharif Al Hussein Bin Ali Mosque in Aqaba.
The King and the worshippers listened to a sermon delivered by Sheikh Suleiman Al Bulbul, director of the Aqaba Awqaf Department, which focused on the meaning of the Eid in Islam. Bulbul said the Eid inspires sympathy for the needy and encourages Muslims to help the poor, highlighting that the King’s recent donation to Gaza’s orphans is in line with Islamic teachings and Jordan’s support for the Palestinian cause.
